In accordance with the D.C. Human Rights Act of 1977, as amended, D.C. Official Code §§2 1401, et seq. (Act), and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended, 20 U.S.C. §§1681, et seq. (Title IX), and its implementing regulations, 34 CFR Part 106, the District of Columbia Public Schools does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, personal appearance, familial status, family responsibilities, matriculation, political affiliation, disability, or place of residence or business. Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination, which is prohibited by the Act and Title IX. In addition, harassment based on any of the above-protected categories is prohibited by the Act, and may be prohibited by Title IX. Discrimination in violation of the Act and/or Title IX will not be tolerated. Violators will be subject to disciplinary action.
